This report examines the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Arkansas renters. It is informed by Arkansas Community Institute’s work with tenants throughout the pandemic and includes an analysis of judicial evictions during the first two years of the pandemic.

On March 1, 2022, ACO released a new report on barriers to Medicaid with our partner Center for Popular Democracy.
Sick of Waiting: Barriers to Medicaid Keep Healthcare Out of Reach details the struggles and delays many Arkansans face when trying to access services for which they’re eligible.

Fight for
SECURE & HEALTHY HOUSING
Arkansas is the ONLY state without basic health and safety standards for renters, protecting us from living in unsafe conditions. Since our ACORN days, we’ve spent decades researching housing conditions and organizing tenants to improve rental conditions. Substandard housing diminishes physical and mental health, and takes a toll on our entire community.
